UnaVision Spain
In Spain the UnaVision approach is implemented by Asociación Mojo de Caña. This is a non-profit association that works at national and international level. It was founded in 2001 in Gran canaria island (Spain) and consolidated as an entity that provides services to Youth, a volunteer entity and a collaborating entity in the provision of Social Services of the Government of the Canary Islands, with delegations in Tenerife, La Palma, Gran Canaria, Madrid and Córdoba. Currently, the Mojo de Caña Association manages, organizes, produces and promotes social, cultural, communitary, environmental and international projects.
Our mission is to provide services through activities, initiatives, projects and programs in the field of childhood and youth, social services, human rights, values education, environmental education, socioeconomic integration, socio-sanitary intervention, performing arts, interculturality, citizen participation, national and international training and exchanges, and cultural heritage.
Our values as an entity can be summarized as: encouraging and promoting education in prosocial-altruistic values; promote gender equality, interculturality, solidarity and respect for the environment; promoting associationism etc. When it comes to environmental education Mojo de Caña Association collaborates with the Imidauen Cultural and Ecological Association in the management and implementation of educational and environmental activities in the Las Tirajanas Nature Classroom. An ideal environment for environmental education. Mojo de Caña is mainly dedicated to the integral management of the recreational sports and educational activities of a group during their stay in the Classroom. As well, we are coordinating several urban gardens where our users can participate and learn through communitary processes and participation.
