Prinzessinnengarten

"Prinzessinnengärten" is a new urban place of learning. It is where locals can come together to experiment and discover more about organic food production, biodiversity and climate protection. The space will help them adapt to climate change and learn about healthy eating, sustainable living and a future-oriented urban lifestyles. With this project "Nomadisch Grün" intends to increase biological, social and cultural diversity in the neighborhood and to pioneer a new way of living together in the city.

Radbahn

The "Radbahn" vision was developed in 2014. It grew out of an idea to breathe new life into the largely forgotten space under the elevated railway viaduct of Berlin's U1 subway line, which is protected as a historic monument. Against the backdrop of urgent urban challenges such as the need for a transition to more sustainable forms of transport and more sustainable urban development, this space is to be re-imagined so that it can be experienced in a whole new way.

Floating Berlin

"Floating e.V." is a self organized space and group, where practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds meet to collaborate, co-create and imaginatively work towards futures.

It is in solidarity with the history of the site and with the lineage of alternative narratives for urban development that the "Floating e.V." situates its mission: to open, maintain, and take care of this unique site while bringing non-disciplinary, radical, and collaborative programs to the public. In other words, it is a place to learn to engage, to embrace the complexity and navigate the entanglements of the world, to imagine and create different forms of living.

Haus der Materialisierung

The "Haus der Materialisierung" is an association of various initiatives and institutions that research, practice and work on the topics of sustainable management and climate-friendly use of resources. The actors in the "House of Materialization" work self-organized, as freelancers or (partially) funded in various associations and business models.

Since the summer of 2021, the center for climate-friendly use of resources has also been located in the "House of Materialization" under the project management of "Kunst-Stoffe Berlin", which was developed as part of the Berlin-wide reuse strategy.

The construction of the "House of Materialization" is scientifically accompanied by a three-year research project funded by the DBU: Reallabor Circular Economy in an urban context, environmental communication in the House of Materialization in cooperation with the TU, ZKB and Material Mafia.
